A pro-Duterte FB page posted May 12 a manipulated photo of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III raising the hands of Joseph “Erap” Estrada and Amado Bagatsing, who ran for City of Manila mayor and vice mayor.
Duterte Forever posted a photoshopped image of Aquino with a March 2016 Asia Sentinel photo of Estrada, who was raising the hand of then-presidential candidate Grace Poe, and a February 2016 Northbound Philippines photo of Bagatsing with then-presidential candidate Duterte and running mate Alan Peter Cayetano.
Aquino never issued any statement endorsing the two candidates. Both Estrada and Bagatsing lost to Isko Moreno and Honey Lacuna.
