PRESIDENTIAL aspirant Jejomar Binay had an interesting Monday last May 2.
At 9 a.m., he attended Holy Mass at the Manila Cathedral officiated by Manila Archbishop Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle.
Mar Roxas was also there.
Binay and Roxas signed a covenant for “Truth” organized by the Archdiocese of Manila.
TRUTH stands for “Truthful, Responsible, Upright, Transparent, and Honest” elections.
After the signing, Binay headed to Ilocos Norte, a known bailiwick of the Marcoses.
At the Capitol in Laoag, the former human rights lawyer held a press conference with outgoing governor Imee Marcos, behind them a framed photograph of the late dictator.
Asked if her brother, vice presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., is going to support Binay, Imee said: “Depende sa kapatid ko. Kapag tinanong mo siya, depende sa manang ko (It depends on my brother. But if you ask him [he will say] it depends on my eldest sister).”
Interesting answer, as interesting as Binay’s Monday.– Lala Ordenes
