Continue ‘bloodless’ drug war

“On the fight against dangerous drugs, our bloodless war on dangerous drugs adheres, and will continue to adhere, to the established “8 Es” of an effective anti-illegal drugs strategy. Extermination was never one of them.”
(SONA 2024)- Marcos said his administration’s “bloodless” drug war “is working,” noting PDEA’s report that the government has so far seized about P82.58 billion worth of illegal drugs, including 11,039 kg. of shabu, between July 1, 2022 and June 25, 2025.
- However, as of July 7, the Dahas Project of the UP Third World Studies Center has documented 1,009 drug-related killings during the first three years of the Marcos administration.
Improve the quality of basic education

(SONA 2024)- EDCOM II released its second annual report this January, urging lawmakers to address the underlying issues affecting the quality of basic education in the country such as lack of funding, misaligned teacher education, poor literacy and numeracy, and bullying.
- Revised curricula in basic education are being implemented as of SY 2025-2026.
- The MATATAG curriculum— which reduces the number of learning areas so students could focus on key competencies in English, Mathematics and Science — is now being piloted in all levels except Grades 3, 6, 9 and 10. The revised K-12 curriculum is being tested in 889 schools across the country.
Strengthen local production of agricultural goods

“[P]atuloy nating sinusuportahan ang sektor ng agrikultura, upang mapabilis, mapadali, at mapalakas ang produksyon — mula sa pagpunla, pag-ani at paghuli, hanggang sa pagbiyahe at pagbenta — at upang maiwasan din ang pagkasira ng mga produkto.”
(SONA 2024)- Congress ratified in June the Livestock Development and Competitiveness Act—a law aiming to boost local production of pork, chicken, dairy and eggs by supporting smallholder farmers and modernizing supply chains. It currently awaits Marcos’ signature.
- In April this year, the DA announced it would establish the country’s first onion research and extension center to help farmers improve the quality of their onion harvests and protect their crops from pests and diseases.
Lower price of electricity by building more infra
Status: In progress
“Batid nating lahat na ang presyo ng kuryente dito sa ating bansa ay mataas. Kaya patuloy tayo sa pagdagdag ng mga imprastraktura ng kuryente na magpapababa ng presyo ng [sic] kalaunan… Sa kabilang banda, tinitiyak din nating makatarungan ang paniningil sa mga konsyumer.”
