A local airline pilot alleged that Vice President Leni Robredo asked for priority landing, causing the diversion of their flight to another airport. This is false.
“This announcement is FAKE. The government no longer uses quarantine levels such as ‘GCQ’ in favor of the Alert Level system, the Department of Health (DOH)’s official Facebook page said in a May 13 public advisory.
Jayne Blackwell, the Opera House’s Head of Venue and Event Sales, disowned the circulating photo in a May 16 email to VERA Files Fact Check.
Reverse image search shows that the photo of the towers was originally uploaded to Twitter on Dec. 2, 2016, during the 45th anniversary of United Arab Emirates (UAE) National day. The tower lights also flashed images of the UAE’s national flag, and had nothing to do with the political campaign in the Philippines.
