At least three Facebook posts used a video clip of Sen. Risa Hontiveros saying she will "defy the Constitution." The video was edited to mislead. The clip was extracted from her June 9 media conference where she emphasized that she would not allow the Senate to defy the Constitution in connection with the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
The clip of Sen. Francis Tolentino’s speech was only a manifestation. The impeachment case of Vice President Sara Duterte was remanded to the House of Representatives on June 10 but “is not dismissed” according to Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano.
