Facebook pages are circulating a job advertisement that the Professional Regulation Commission(PRC) is supposedly hiring “150,000 office staff.” This is fake.

Shared last June 1, the hiring posts carried a graphic with the PRC’s logo and the text:

“Professional Regulation Commission Hiring 2024. OFFICE STAFF. 150,000 vacancies All Branch. Qualifications: With or without License, Graduate of Any four year course. APPLY ASAP AND START ASAP.”

The posts’ caption further claimed that the monthly salary starts at P27,600 and bore a link to a website where netizens can fill out an application form and upload their resume and other documents.

This is yet another fake job advertisement from pages not affiliated with the PRC.

VERA FILES FACT CHECK - THE FACTS: The circulating job advertisement for the hiring of 150,000 office staff is fake and not from the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC). Vacant positions and their requirements are found on the PRC’s official website (www.prc.gov.ph).

PRC Region VII – Cebu’s official FB page has issued a statement disowning the circulating announcement.

“The public is hereby informed that PRC Regional Office VII has an ongoing hiring activity; however, this announcement circulating online is not valid,” a part of the advisory read.

The list of vacant plantilla and job order positions, as well as their requirements, are found on the PRC’s official website (www.prc.gov.ph). Contrary to the fake post, qualified applicants must send their documents to PRC’s offices or through their specific email addresses, not through any website.

The circulating posts lead users to the site prcjobhiring.blogspot.com, which also contains ads that lead to an e-commerce platform.

The fake job application posts were shared the same day the commission announced that 3,155 out of 10,421 passed the Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants this May.
