THE Department of Interior and Local Government is encouraging the passage of local laws that will put a premium on the welfare and rights of persons with disabilities, Secretary Jesse Robredo said Wednesday.
Speaking at the launch of the Fully Abled Nation (FAN) campaign at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel, Robredo said politicians should listen and attend to PWDs because they are a potentially decisive voting force.
