Pangalawa sa dalawang bahagi
Mahigit isang buwan na lang bago ang halalan sa Mayo 9, ginagawa ng mga kandidato para sa presidente at bise-presidente ang lahat upang kumbinsihin ang mga botante na sila ang tamang tao para sa posisyon.
Ngunit talaga bang naaayon ang kanilang plataporma sa mga isyung pinaka-importante sa mga botante?
Sa dalawang bahaging seryeng ito, binalangkas ng VERA Files Fact Check kung ano ang planong gawin ng bawat tandem na tumatakbo para sa mga nangungunang posisyon sa bansa para tugunan ang limang “pinaka-kagyat na pambansang alalahanin” ng mga botanteng Pilipino, batay sa Pulse Asia pre-electoral survey noong Enero 2022.
Ang mga ito ay:
- pagkontrol sa inflation,
- pagtataas ng suweldo ng mga manggagawa,
- pagtatapyas ng kahirapan,
- pakikipaglaban sa graft and corruption sa gobyerno, at
- paglikha ng mas maraming trabaho.
Sa survey, na may margin of error na ±2, tinanong ng Pulse Asia sa 2,400 “malamang na mga botante” sa buong Pilipinas na sabihin at i-ranggo ang tatlong isyu na dapat “kaagad tugunan” ng kanilang napiling kandidato sa pagkapangulo kapag nahalal.
Bukod sa limang alalahanin na ito, isinama rin ng VERA Files Fact Check ang mga plano ng bawat tandem sa pagsugpo sa patuloy na pagkalat ng coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
