CEBU City – Election volunteers Krugger Tabada and Leah Recia, both persons with disabilities (PWDs), were startled by the high voter turnout in a polling place here last May 9.
They were expecting some 50 PWDs to vote in the emergency accessible polling place (EAPP) here at the Mabolo Elementary School, but several hundreds more arrived.
Still, thanks to their tireless work in assisting local election officers, the EAPP managed to assist almost 100 PWDs and over 350 senior citizen voters.
