Former president Rodrigo Duterte personally appeared before the trial judges of the International Criminal Court for the third status conference in his crimes against humanity case. This marks his first in- person attendance at proceedings related to his case. He previously appeared before the ICC Pre-Trial Chamber I on March 14, 2025, but only via video conference. The status conference will address today matters concerning his trial, which is scheduled to begin on November 30.
