A TikTok video is claiming that the crowd chanted “Duterte!” in the supposed Iloilo proclamation rally of the administration’s slate for the 2025 midterm elections. This is false.
The video posted on Feb. 14 had a text overlay which read:
“DUTERTE ANG SIGAW NG MGA TAO… PBBM pahiya” (The crowd screams for
Duterte… PBBM, humiliated.);
“Sandro Marcos na gulat sa Sigaw ng mga tao sa ILOILO Duterte..!” (Sandro Marcos, shocked that people in Iloilo chanted for Duterte!)
The clips were originally from the Feb. 11 Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas rally in Ilocos Norte—not in Iloilo— and showed the crowd cheering for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos.

The clip at the 0:26 mark of the edited post is the same as the 49:39 mark of the original live stream on INQUIRER.net’s official YouTube page. There were no Duterte chants heard.
The crowd cheered for the performer at the 37:43 mark of the original video but the spliced TikTok post added Duterte chants to this clip.
The spurious video only showed snippets of the Ilocos Norte rally which took place two days before the administration ticket’s campaign in Iloilo City on Feb. 13.
At least five TikTok accounts reposted the same video on the platform. It was also reposted on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.
TikTok user duterteforever4 (created July 5, 2023) has over 22,000 followers and accumulated likes of more than 290,000. The deceptive TikTok video garnered upwards of 900,000 views and over 30,000 likes.
