Issues and Controversies
Ran against her brother Jejomar “Junjun” Binay Jr. for mayor of Makati City in the 2019 local elections. The rivalry escalated into a public confrontation inside a church over her family’s strained ties with her husband, Makati Rep. Luis Campos.
Falsely claimed the Makati-Taguig territory dispute was not over yet after allegedly receiving notice scheduling oral arguments for the case. The Supreme Court debunked the claim, saying there is no such document as it had decided on the dispute with finality.
