Pinoy Christmas is reaffirmation of faith, love and family

This Christmas, amid traffic jams, the crowds, high prices, we persevere. We light up the trees. We put up lanterns. We patiently beat the long queue just to be home for Christmas. We hope and pray that in 2026, the guilty are punished and governance will be better. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Christmas 2025 comes at the time when the nation is feeling tired and weary by news about  mind-blowing corruption, abuse and betrayal by people entrusted to lead the country.

But Filipinos are resilient. We always get up when we fall. We always bounce back,hopefully this time, wiser and stronger.

Politics has a way of intruding even in the solemn tradition of Simbang Gabi at St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish in Barangay Magallanes, Makati.

This Christmas, amid traffic jams, the crowds, high prices,  we persevere. We light up the trees. We put up lanterns. We patiently beat the long queue just to be home for Christmas.
