A YouTube video claimed that celebrity Kris Aquino died of stage 5 cancer last Feb. 16, and that Sen. Raffy Tulfo witnessed her death. This is not true.
The one-minute video, uploaded by YouTube channel Shelina Ong and reposted by six Facebook (FB) pages, bore this title:
“NAKIKIRAMAY! ʀᴀғғʏ TULFO SAKSI SA PAGPANAW NI KRIS AQUINO NGAYONG HAPON! STAGE 5 CANCER ANG DAHILAN (Condolences! Raffy Tulfo witnessed Kris Aquino’s death this afternoon! Stage 5 cancer caused [her death]!”
Aquino, who has been the subject of several death hoaxes, is currently undergoing treatment in the United States for autoimmune diseases, not cancer.
This latest hoax appeared after the former television host told her supporters on Feb. 13 about a possible red flag in one of her medical test results.
The deceptive video contains clips showing Tulfo, and a slideshow of photos showing Aquino’s medical treatments. It does not offer any explanation about the celebrity’s alleged death.
Reverse image search confirms that one of the screenshots flashed in the video came from a March 1, 2022 Instagram Reel showing Aquino receiving an injection, while video clips of Tulfo were from various sources.
Shelina Ong’s death hoax video got 2,300 views. The reposts by six FB pages got a total of over 112,618 interactions.
Among those that shared the video are FB pages Philippines Training New TH, Idol Raffy Tulfo In Action, Raffy Tulfo Supporterss, Raffy Tulfo fan love, Raffy Tulfo In Action Supporters, and Idol Rafy Tulfo in Actions.
