A netizen posted a misleading tweet supposedly by actress Bea Alonzo that compared then-rivals Rodrigo Duterte and Manuel “Mar” Roxas II on election day in 2016.

The Oct. 23 Facebook post captioned “WALA LANG. PAM-PA-INIT BA. Tse (Oh, nothing. Just spicing things up. Hmph)!,” uploaded a screengrab of a tweet by the account @itsbeaalonzo. It read:

“I’m not trying to say something fancy here but I think this shows why Duterte is leading #discipline #Halalan2016.”

The tweet showed a photo of Duterte at his voting precinct with reporters and bystanders waiting outside the room, juxtaposed with a photo of Roxas voting at his precinct, surrounded by cameras.

The netizen’s online post is misleading. Alonzo does not have an official Twitter account, according to various interviews she has given since 2015. Her social media presence is limited to Instagram.

@itsbeaalonzo appears to be a fan-made account, which now only re-shares inspirational quotes.

The misleading online post, re-shared over 3,100 times, was published a week after Alonzo and actor Aga Muhlach criticized Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV on the show Gandang Gabi Vice. The interview drew mixed and aggressive reactions from viewers.
