Congress is mulling over the postponement for the third time of the elections for barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials despite assurances from the Commission on Elections on its readiness to hold it as scheduled on Dec. 5 this year.
The PNP says at least 33 people have been killed since the election period started.
More than 1.17 million candidates vie for positions in around 42,000 barangays.
