A bogus Facebook page posted a video to bait netizens again, claiming that senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) will receive P10,000 monthly just by registering online. This is fake.
Published on Jan. 16, the 15-second clip features two female anchors saying:
“Tinatawagan lahat ng senior citizen at PWD sa buong Pilipinas, magkakaroon po kayo ng sampung libong monthly allowance. Magregister lang online. Ang link ng form makikita sa post namin, at dapat naka-follow sa amin. Salamat po”
(Calling all senior citizens and PWDs throughout the Philippines, you will receive ten thousand monthly allowance. Just register online. The link to the form can be found in our post, and you must follow us. Thank you)
The video, posted twice by the same page, was accompanied by a caption containing two links for registration but actually direct users to a product page on an e-commerce site. This is a common trick to boost engagement and promote item listings online.

There are no laws that mandate a P10,000 cash assistance for the elderly and PWDs.
Under Republic Act 11916, only indigent senior citizens are entitled to receive P1,000 monthly aid There is a bill pushing for a P2,000 monthly allowance for PWDs, but it remains pending in a committee at the House of Representatives.
A closer look at the clip reveals some red flags that suggest it was likely created using artificial intelligence. The red flags include:
- Distorted text in the background
- Unnatural white patch on the lower teeth of the women
- Blurred pixels on mouth movements
- The voice of the two anchors are similar
VERAFiles ran the clip and its screenshots through AI-detection tools. Results from Hive moderation, SightEngine, and IsItAI reveal that there is a possibility that it contains AI-generated or deepfake content.
The page has been previously flagged for posting AI-generated videos intended to scam users into clicking fake links (READ: No P100K annual cash aid for PWDs, video AI-GENERATED, NO free electricity bill starting Jan. 2026, video is AI-GENERATED)
As of writing, the two fake videos published by the FB page Pinoy Newswire have been viewed 959,000 times, with 13,300 reactions, 4,500 comments and 2,700 shares.
