A Facebook post claims the Supreme Court awarded Vice President Sara Duterte — now on trial before the impeachment court for unexplained wealth — as the “most honest public servant” of the year. This is fake.
A Facebook page posted on Oct. 24 a graphic with a photo of a smiling Duterte and the text:
“Vice PRESIDENT SARAH (sic) DUTERTE kinilala, BILANG (recognized as) “MOST HONEST” PUBLIC SERVANT of the YEAR
“Said SUPREME Court” (sic).“
It carried the caption:
“SA LAHAT NG PANINIRA NYO KAY VP SARA DUTERTE LALO SYANG NAGING TANYAG AT NAKILALA NA SYA ANG PINAKA TAPAT AT HINDI CORRUPT NA OFFICIAL LALO NA TUNAY NA NAG MAMAHAL SA ATING MGA PILIPINO., KARAPAT DAPAT MAGING PANGULO NG MAMAMAYANG PILIPINO #SaraDuterte #DuterteLangMalakas #DuterteForPresident #Mindanao #DavaoCity #LuzonVisayasMindanao #PanguloNgPilipinas
(All your attempts to smear VP Sara Duterte have only made her more prominent, establishing her as the most honest and incorruptible official who truly loves the Filipino people. She deserves to be President of the Philippines! #SaraDuterte #DuterteLangMalakas #DuterteForPresident #Mindanao #DavaoCity #LuzonVisayasMindanao #PresidentOfThePhilippines).”
VERA Files Fact Check verified the claim with the SC Office of the Spokesperson. In an email to VFFC, it said, “the Supreme Court of the Philippines does not confer awards on public officials outside of the Judiciary.”

But the High Court did host the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos ceremony last September, where it paid tribute to 10 outstanding public servants, including four teachers, three police officers and three soldiers.
VERA Files also ran the graphic through the AI detection tool Hive Moderation. Results showed a 99.9% likelihood that the photo is AI-generated.

The erroneous post surfaced three days after the House prosecution panel submitted to the impeachment court on Oct. 21 its formal offer of evidence on Duterte’s alleged unexplained wealth.
The post, published by FB page Solid duterte fans club, has garnered 7,856 reactions, 1,700 comments and 641 shares, as of writing. The page was created on March 16 and has over 19,000 followers.
