A Facebook graphic is claiming that Vice President Sara Duterte commands a sweeping lead across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in a supposed 2028 presidential preference survey. This is fake and the photo is AI-generated.
The post, published on August 17, displays a breakdown attributing 45% of votes in Luzon, 70% in Visayas, and 80% in Mindanao to Duterte.
However, the poll lacks essential methodological details, survey dates, and sample size that are required of legitimate polling data. While the graphic attributes its figures to “The Bizarre Bulletin,” the source page explicitly states in its bio that it is an account “offering satirical opinions and sarcastic commentary” and self identifies as satire/parody.
While legitimate polls confirm that Duterte remains the leading choice for president in the coming elections, the specific figures presented in the graphic are fabricated and distort actual survey data.
According to Pulse Asia Research’s June 28-July 3 nationwide survey where Duterte led overall preferences, her actual regional breakdown registered at 87% in Mindanao, 53% in the Visayas, 31% in Balance Luzon, and 39% in Metro Manila.
Similarly, findings from OCTA Research’s July 4-11 Tugon ng Masa survey—which also placed Duterte ahead nationwide—recorded her regional support at 27% in Balance Luzon, 51% in Visayas, and 76% in Mindanao. Unlike genuine polling reports that include undecided respondents, such as OCTA’s report showing a 34% tie and 32% undecided in Metro Manila—the post attributes the entire or 100% of the votes directly to listed candidates in rounded percentages.
Furthermore, digital verification confirms the image is synthetic. A run through Hive Moderation’s Hive Detect tool flagged the graphic as 99.9% AI-generated.
The post circulated as political discussions surrounding the ongoing impeachment proceedings against the Vice President continue to dominate public attention online.
As of writing, the post, published by multiple FB accounts and groups, has accumulated a total of 3,312 reactions, 969 comments, and 223 shares.
