Soldiers from the 502nd Combined Arms Brigade of the Philippine Army fire their Autonomous Truck Mounted Howitzer System’s 155 mm self-propelled cannon or ATMOS during a live-fire exercise dubbed CATEX Katihan at Camp O’Donnell in Capas, Tarlac on March 15.

CATEX means Combined Arms Training Exercise (CATEX)

CATEX Katihan is the first ever large-scale exercise meant to enhance interoperability as part of a larger force that focuses on ‘Territorial Defense Operations, according to the Philippine Army, the largest armed force of the Philippine military.

The brigade also conducted live-fire exercise involving 120mm Mounted Mortar System and featured the Philippine Army’s new Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.
