A graphic claims that supporters of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. rescued a drunk and unconscious supporter of former vice president Leni Robredo. This is false.
A fake quote card bearing Rappler’s logo claimed that Vice President Leni Robredo said her and her running mate’s victory in the 2022 polls is guaranteed.
No media outlet published or aired such a remark and attributed it to him.
Neither has she encouraged the former senator to "file a case" against oligarchs "destroying his name and reputation."
The fabricated graphic first appeared in April 2019 and was revived this January.
It surfaced after a pro-Duterte vlogger aired an exclusive interview with the president.
The opposition lawmaker said no such thing.
It mimicked the quote card template of a local news media group.
This post is fake. Don't believe it.
The card's creator also tagged news organization SMNI Network as source but the news outlet, on Sept. 4, released a statement “strongly disowning" the fake quote card.
