Sinabi ng PSA na ang food inflation, o ang rate ng pagtaas ng mga presyo ng mga pagkain, ay bumaba sa 6.7% noong Hunyo 2023 mula sa 7.5% noong nakaraang buwan. Gayunpaman, mas mataas pa rin ito sa 6.4% na naitalang food inflation noong Hunyo 2022.
PSA said food inflation has slowed down to 6.7% in June 2023 from 7.5% in the previous month. However, it is still higher than the 6.4% recorded food inflation in June 2022.
Of the six promises Marcos made on agriculture, three were fulfilled. His administration succeeded in providing loans to the agriculture sector for farm inputs, imposing a one-year moratorium on payment of land amortization and interest and the signing into law of the new Agrarian Emancipation Act.
While Marcos is correct that well-milled rice can be bought at P25 per kilo, he stopped short of saying that this is available only at the Kadiwa stores managed by the National Food Authority.

The P25 per kilo rice is available only in Kadiwa ng Pasko caravan stores which operate in limited areas at designated dates and time in Metro Manila and in the provinces of Oriental Mindoro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur and Davao de Oro.
