Filipinos trooped to the polls again Monday, May 12, to participate in governance by choosing the leaders of the country.

We went around Metro Manila -Rosauro Elementary School in Tondo, Isabelo De los Reyes Elementary School in Binondo, Manila City Jail,  SM Mall in Manila. Maharlika Elementary School in Taguig, San Dionisio Elementary School in Paranaque and even accompanied former senator Leila De Lima as she cast her vote. The scenes we witnessed affirm the Filipinos love for elections. Despite the  almost 40 degrees Celsius heat, the overcrowding, the malfunctioning voting machines, and many other technical woes, the Filipinos endured them to be able to vote.

The political atmosphere being highly polarized, the results may not please everybody. That’s democracy.
