A quote card spreading online claims that television host Willie Revillame has called out Vice President Sara Duterte for campaigning amid a crisis and urged her to do her job. This is fake.

On April 1, a netizen published a card containing a photo of Revillame along with a text that read:

May krisis tayo sa bansa wag puro kampanya mag trabaho ka naman VP sarah (sic)

(We have a crisis in the country. Don’t focus only on campaigning; do your job, VP Sara).”

One user featured the image in a reel posted on April 4. Another copy of the photo was shared on April 6 in an FB group, where commenters criticized Revillame.

A keyword search using the entire quote did not yield any credible results that the television host uttered it.

In his official Facebook page on April 2, Revillame debunked the post and urged the public to report the page that shared the photo.

In a Facebook advisory on April 2, television host Willie Revillame debunked the circulating posts claiming he called out Vice President Sara Duterte.

Hindi po totoong sinabi ko ito. Wala po akong pahayag na katulad nito. Fake news, walang katotohanan, po ang pinapakalat ng page na nag-post nito

(It’s not true that I said this. I did not make any statement like this. The page that posted it is spreading fake news and has no truth),” he wrote

A similar advisory was posted in the official page of his variety game show.

The bogus quote card surfaced after Duterte skipped the March 25 hearing of the House Committee on Justice on her impeachment case. The vice president announced on Feb. 18 her intention to run for president in the 2028 elections, as she was facing impeachment over allegations of corruption, bribery, and betrayal of public trust.

Published by an FB user, the erroneous photo has so far garnered 5,100 reactions; 1,800 comments; and 238 shares. The reel and other copy collectively earned 3,700 views; 583 reactions; 134 comments; and 64 shares.
