Five years of President Duterte’s rule intensified the anger of those who condemn the killings in the name of the war on drugs and lately, in the government’s fight against the communist insurgency.

Before the chief executive delivered his last State-of-the-Nation Address on Monday, workers, students, and all those who value freedom and human rights marched towards the Batasan Pambansa to deliver their message that they want an end to the oppression and brutality that marked the Duterte presidency.
