As the world marked Dec. 10 as International Human Rights Day, the families of the victims of Rodrigo Duterte’s brutal war on drugs re-affirmed their commitment to continue demanding for justice.

This resolve is buoyed by the probe in aid of legislation by the Senate and House of Representatives the past months which confirmed many ugly and terrifying truths that were just whispered in the past.

The families of the victims of extrajudicial killings came face-to-face with the chief perpetrator of  the crimes: former president Rodrigo Duterte, who appeared in both the Senate and House hearings.

Duterte was unrepentant, uncouth and arrogant.

Someone should tell him what the Bible says about the arrogant: “Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished” (Proverbs 16:5)
