A Facebook (FB) page impersonating celebrity-vlogger Cheska Garcia-Kramer used altered photos of her family to advertise a product called Japan Pasteur Institute Mouth Spray.

The mouth spray, also called Mouth Fresher Spray in its bogus link (nys-real.asia), is not a registered cosmetic product under the Food and Drug Administration. Nor has the Pasteur Institute’s Japanese branch developed such a product.

On Nov. 24, the impostor FB page Cheska Kramer posted an ad that read in part: “Sa hindi inaasahang pagkakataon, nawala ang mabahong hininga ng asawa ko after 1 month of using the mouth spray of Pasteur Institute Japan (Due to an unexpected circumstance, my husband’s bad breath went away after a month of using Pasteur Institute Japan’s mouth spray).”

It further claimed that general practitioner Liza Ramoso-Ong allegedly recommended the product to them. A cursory search reveals that Ramoso-Ong never endorsed the product. Scammers have used her name in another fake health product ad

Moreover, Garcia-Kramer is active on Instagram. Her official Facebook account is not active anymore.

Reverse image search and cursory search shows that three photos of the Kramer family endorsing different products were edited to make it look like they were holding bottles of the bogus mouth spray.

The first photo, originally posted on Feb. 26, shows Cheska’s husband and ex-basketball player, Doug, and daughter Scarlett, holding small tetra packs of a chocolate milk drink while sitting at a dining table.

Another photo of Scarlett and her sister Kendra sitting on a bed, first posted on April 7, was used. Cheska’s daughters were holding bottles of an herbal therapy oil.

A third photo, posted by the Kramers’ official page on Dec. 1, 2021, shows the Kramer couple posing by their Christmas tree while holding toothpaste.

FB page Cheska Kramer was created on April 27 under the Vietnamese name Anh giờ (English now). Its fake ad garnered a total of 2,200 reactions, 328 comments, and 14 shares.

The bogus endorsement appeared a day after Kendra, Cheska’s daughter, landed on the cover of Nylon Magazine. The Kramers are celebrity vloggers and popular product endorsers.
