Ten months into the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the race for a safe and effective vaccine continues. Researchers and pharmaceutical developers have studied the sequence of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and sped up the process of clinical trials to supply rations for over 170 countries, including the Philippines.
