The Duterte admin promised to provide a monthly subsidy of P500 to the poorest families amid rising oil prices in March. No news reports confirm such contribution in June.
The national government is extending until Aug. 31 its distribution of cash aid worth P1,000 to P4,000 to 10.8 million individuals in the National Capital Region (NCR). But neither Duterte nor the DSWD has announced a separate financial assistance scheme for mothers.
This is misleading because solo parents or 4Ps beneficiaries are not outright recipients of the cash assistance. There are eligibility requirements under the DSWD guidelines for the Livelihood Assistance Grants (LAG).
No house-to-house distribution of aid worth P10,000 is taking place.
DSWD is not hosting such a giveaway on its official website, or in its Facebook and Twitter accounts.
The DSWD advises the public to immediately report and to not patronize the account.
The DSWD and DOLE do not share a singular page on FB.
The quote card is fake. The DSWD secretary made no such statement on April 2.
RA 9994 indeed introduces a social pension of P500, or P6,000 annually. However, it only applies to indigent senior citizens.
