Six months after stopping the issuance of vouchers for Grade 11 students enrolled in state and local universities and colleges for the current school year ending in June 2024, the Department of Education ordered that it be continued.

Noong Hulyo 2023, naglabas ng memorandum ang DepEd na nagsasabi sa mga SUC at LUC na ang mga benepisyaryo ng Grade 11 voucher program ay hindi na tatanggapin mula sa kanilang mga paaralan simula school year 2023-2024, kasunod ng paglipas ng 2015 agreement sa Commission on Higher Education na nagpapahintulot sa SUCs at LUCs na mag-alok ng senior high school upang tumulong sa pagtugon sa mga isyu sa kapasidad ng DepEd.
