Christ has risen!

We come back from a week of reflection on the suffering of Jesus Christ taking to heart the lesson that genuine peace and happiness can only be achieved after we have confronted and dealt with temptations and suffering.

Holy Week in the Philippines is all that agony and joy. From getting a ride in crowded buses, trains and airplane for a family reunion to witnessing and participating in the re-enactment of suffering of Jesus Christ.

We come back recharged and strengthened as we continue to cope with daily challenges especially the escalating prices of basic goods caused by the war in Iran initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump.

We join Pope Leo XIV in his  Easter 2026 message: “Let those who have weapons lay them down! Let those who have the power to unleash wars choose peace! Not a peace imposed by force, but through dialogue! Not with the desire to dominate others, but to encounter them!”
