An impostor Facebook (FB) page using the name and logo of LCC Supermarket claims it is giving away free washing machines and refrigerators. This is fake.
The May 15 post instructs users to comment “Congratulations” to win unsold appliances. It bore a caption that read:
“LIBRENG WASHING MACHINE AT REFRIGERATOR.
Ipinagmamalaki naming i-anunsyo na magdo-donate kami ng 520 washing machines na hindi mabenta dahil gasgas at bahagyang nasira, lahat ng washing machine ay nasa maayos na kondisyon at random na ipapadala namin sa mga nagsusulat ng “CONGRATULATIONS” bago mag May 16 2025, Good luck
(We proudly announce that we are donating 520 washing machines that cannot be sold due to scratches and minor defects, all washing machines are in good condition and will be sent at random to those who will write “CONGRATULATIONS” before May 16, 2025. Good luck).”
The fake page then tricks the users in the comments, misleading them to like, follow and share the page to be able to claim the prize.
LCC Supermarket, a supermarket chain in the Bicol Region, is not giving away free washing machines and refrigerators.
The official FB page of LCC shared a screenshot of the fake giveaway post on May 15 and labeled it with “Fake account/Scam.” They urged users not to click or share the post.
In a separate advisory, the supermarket chain also warned about the impersonating page, clarifying that it is not affiliated with them.
“We’ve been made aware of a fake LCC Supermarket Facebook page circulating online, pretending to be the official account. To protect yourself from scams, always double-check that you’re following our official pages for verified updates, promos, and announcements,” the post read.

The fake post has so far garnered 3,300 shares, 1,800 comments, and 542 reactions as of writing.
