An old claim has resurfaced online alleging that the United States has dropped the cases against Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Apollo Quiboloy, who was indicted in 2021 by a federal jury on charges including sexual abuse and trafficking. This is false.
Posted on Aug. 23, a 20-second Facebook reel featured a post containing a graphics card with text that read:
“Korte sa Amerika, ibinasura ang mga kasong human trafficking, forced labor, at money laundering vs KOJC Leader
(U.S. court, dismissed cases of human trafficking, forced labor, and money laundering vs KOJ leader)“
The erroneous post was captioned:
“Korte sa America ibinasura ang mga kaso ni Pastor Quiboloy.
(U.S. court dismissed cases against Pastor Quiboloy)”
Some netizens expressed thanks and congratulated the pastor in the comments section. The post has circulated on FB, TikTok and YouTube.

There are no credible reports confirming that the U.S. government has dropped the charges against Quiboloy.
As of Sept. 2025, the televangelist remains on the Most Wanted list of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to the record on its official website.
Quiboloy is wanted for his “alleged participation in a labor trafficking scheme that brought church members to the United States, via fraudulently obtained visas, and forced the members to solicit donations for a bogus charity, donations that actually were used to finance church operations and the lavish lifestyles of its leaders,” based on the FBI.
Only the charges against his co-accused and KOJC administrator Marissa Dueñas, who entered a plea bargain agreement in exchange for a lighter sentence last October 2024, were dismissed.
On Nov. 10, 2021, the United States District Court for the Central District of California issued a federal warrant against Quiboloy after he was indicted for conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion and bulk cash smuggling, among other charges.
He is also facing separate charges of qualified human trafficking before a Pasig City court and sexual abuse before a Quezon City court.
The false post surfaced after the Philippine Ambassador to the U.S. Jose Manuel Romualdez confirmed on Aug. 20 that the U.S. has sent a formal request to the Philippines to extradite Quiboloy. However, the DOJ said it has not yet received such a request.
VERA Files has previously debunked a false post claiming the dismissal of his case (READ: Apollo Quiboloy is NOT the KOJC leader with dismissed charges).
