A video circulating on Facebook (FB) has again ‘killed’ Kris Aquino, claiming she collapsed at singer Jovit Baldivino’s wake. Not true.
Posted on Dec. 11 by several FB pages and a YouTube channel, the video carried the headline:
“KRIS AQUINO NAG COLLAPSE SA LAMAY NI JOVIT BALDIVINO! PUMANAW NA (KRIS AQUINO COLLAPSED DURING JOVIT BALDIVINO’S WAKE! [SHE] HAS PASSED AWAY)! ACTUAL FULL VIDEO NAKUHA SA LAMAY (TAKEN FROM THE WAKE)! Thank (sic) For Watching.”
The video’s thumbnail on YouTube featured photos of Baldivino, his wake and Aquino. Arrows were added to insinuate that the wake photo was from Aquino’s visit.
The thumbnail bore the text:
“KRIS AQUINO DINALAW SI JOVIT BALDIVINO SA LAMAY! PERO NAG COLLAPSE DIN! PAALAM SA INYO! 2022 KRIS AQUINO SINUNDO NI JOVIT BALDIVINO! KATOTOHANAN SA NANGYARI (KRIS AQUINO VISITED JOVIT BALDIVINO’S WAKE! BUT ALSO COLLAPSED! GOODBYE TO THE BOTH OF YOU! 2022 KRIS AQUINO FETCHED BY JOVIT BALDIVINO! THE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED).”
Aquino, who has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, remains in the United States awaiting further diagnosis and treatment.
The video showed no evidence to support its erroneous claim. A narrator only talked about Aquino supposedly being “restless” after hearing about Baldovino’s passing. She was one of the judges when Baldovino won first place in the first season of the reality show Pilipinas Got Talent. The rest of the video flashed photos of Aquino and Baldivino as well as scenes from the latter’s wake.
On Nov. 24, Aquino shared on Instagram how she is starting a new round of diagnosis and treatment in the US. She also posted on Nov. 28. a birthday message for her late father, former Senator “Benigno” Ninoy Aquino.
The video carrying the latest death hoax on Aquino was uploaded three days after Baldivino passed away at the age of 29.

At least eight FB pages shared the fake video including Idol Rafy Tulfo in Actions (created on Aug. 21, 2021), Rafy Tulfo Fans love (June 22, 2022) and Raffy Tulfo Supporterss (March 19, 2022) collectively garnering 27,655 views. YouTube channel Shelina Ong (March 6, 2018) also uploaded the video garnering 31,450 views.
