The Venice Biennale is in Manila!

Dungug Kinaray-a Inc. is now accepting entries for this year's Padya Dungug Kinaray-a.

The exhibition Revisiting the Conservative presents "the realist traditions of painting idyllic scenes and themes exploring the Philippine landscape" from the 1940s to the 1970s. It runs until June 15, 2019 at the UP Vargas Museum.

Posters: everywhere, short-lived, and thrown away. Such is the fate of most posters but not at the Cultural Center of the Philippines with Poster/ity: 50 Years of Art & Culture at the CCP that runs through 26 May 2019, with free admission.

In celebration of their "extraordinary vision and formal excellence," the exhibition National Artists in the BPI Art Collection shows some 45 artworks by 14 National Artists for visual art. It runs at the Ayala Museum until April 3, 2019.

The city of Baguio may seem a Johnny come lately in being the host and venue for the staging of the acclaimed dramatic monologues Tao Po that addresses the growing violation of human rights in the country. But it is pulling out the stops in mounting the four-character monologue on Feb. 8 at 4 p.m. at the University of the Cordilleras (UC) Auditorium on Gov. Pack Road, Baguio.
