The Commission on Elections proclaimed May 17 the 12 who won in the May 12 senatorial elections.
They are (ranked by the number of votes obtained):

- Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV Bong
- Ronald Dela Rosa
- Erwin Tulfo
- Francis Pancratius “Kiko”” Pangilinan
- Rodante Marcoleta
- Panfilo “Ping” Lacson
- Vicente “Tito” Sotto III
- Pilar Juliana “Pia” Cayetano
- Camille Lydia Villar
- Manuel “Lito” Lapid
- Maria Imelda “Imee” Marcos
Except for Pangilinan, all the winners were present in the proclamation accompanied by members of their family. Imelda Marcos came to witness daughter Imee’s proclamation for a second term in the Senate.
Camille Villar’s father, former Senate president Manuel Villar, was on hand to support her daughter’s first stint in the Senate, where his son, Mark, is an incumbent member. Missing was Camille’s mother, outgoing senator Cynthia Villar, who lost in her bid to represent Las Piñas in the House of Representatives.
The 12 new senators will be part of the 20th Congress that will commence on June 30. The Senate will be converted into an Impeachment Court on July 30 for the trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
