VERA FILES FACT SHEET: Impeachment and the judiciary in the ‘Federal Republic of the Philippines’

Hours after receiving the draft revision of the 1987 Constitution, President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the proposal in whole, save for a request to amend the transitory provisions, according to Concom spokesperson Conrado Generoso.

The committee will still review and revise the transitory provisions “in accordance with the President’s instructions,” it said in a media release. (See VERA FILES FACT SHEET: The 1987 Constitution and Concom draft compared)
