A Facebook page posted an erroneous graphics card claiming that the Department of Public Works and Highways is hiring for various positions, with no experience required for some items. This is fake.
Published on Sept. 11, the photo bore the logo of DPWH with the following text:
“DPWH NOW HIRING. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR SOME POSITIONS”
It also claimed that the application period is open until Sept. 30, 2025, with two links provided where those interested can apply. The caption of the fake post partly read:
“JOB OPPORTUNITY ALERT!! The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now hiring for multiple Engineering, Finance, Janitorial, Job order and Administrative positions.”
The links provided in the clickbait post redirect to a sports product listed on two different e-commerce platforms.
An earlier post shared in the Facebook group “Homebased Job Philippines” on Aug. 27 said that the department is recruiting a project manager, administrative assistant, and engineer with relevant college degrees.

A quick review of the DPWH’s official social media pages shows no such hiring post.
At the end of the caption of the Sept. 11 post is the word “satire”. Although the publisher does not generally post satirical content, it has previously shared fake announcements of class suspensions.
The post surfaced after the DPWH became embroiled in controversy over anomalous flood control projects. Investigations conducted by the Senate blue ribbon committee revealed that some officials of the agency, along with some politicians, had been allegedly receiving kickbacks from these projects.
