Farmers left their fields and marched to the streets on Oct. 21 to protest the massive corruption that are destroying the agricultural sector and their lives.
The farmers’ protest followed the walkout of students from different schools in Metro Manila to protest the corruption worth trillions of pesos in flood control projects. They demanded that senators, congressmen, public officials and private contractors involved in the anomalies be held accountable and jailed.
