Lawyer Larry Gadon, who is running for a seat in the Senate for the second time, inaccurately claimed that the biggest wind energy producer in Southeast Asia is in Ilocos Norte.

A TikTok video repeated unproven and false claims about the mothballed Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) and the wealth of the Marcos family. It gained a million views and a lot of interactions on Facebook before it was deleted.

The clip was a 25-second excerpt from a two-and-a-half-minute-long video.

This needs context. The decades-old video showed Marcos making remarks about the country’s mutual defense agreement with the U.S.

The statement is fake. No official documents, speeches, statements or legitimate news reports carry the text in the fabricated graphic.

The pieces of paper Robredo was holding during the debate were not cheat sheets, but scratch papers provided by CNN Philippines to the presidential aspirants and were used for notetaking.

None of the photos were edited.

An old election campaign video of Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo was altered with the use of unrelated images to present misleading information about her.

‘Atom Araullo is a Kakampink’ says one caption. ‘Atom Araullo for Leni’ says another.

Robredo’s spokesperson Barry Gutierrez cited a “conflict of schedule” as the reason for the vice president’s non-attendance.

The video is called a “cheap fake,” or a low-quality version of deepfakes, which are digitally altered videos or images to show people in situations that never occurred.

Carlos did not allude to the vice president in her remark.
