Ngayong 2023, dumoble ang bilang ng mga online scam na na-fact-check ng VERA Files. Sa 410 posts na na-debunk mula Jan. 1 hanggang Dec. 8, 78 ang scams. Higit kalahati o 45 dito, mga fake ad para sa health products.
Karamihan sa mga ito na nangangako ng paggaling o pagbuti ng kalusugan ay ‘di rehistrado sa Food and Drug Administration.
