Unity at this time of conflict was the message of Vice President Leni Robredo when she visited residents of Marawi who are in the evacuation center at the Al Markhazie Islamic Institute in Balo-I, Lanao del Norte.

Some 264,000 have been displaced by the war between government forces and elements of Maute and Abu Sayyaf Groups who are reportedly getting support from the dreaded Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the Middle East.

Robredo said it is everybody’s hope that the conflict, which had been going on for more than a month would end soon.
